Rancid got it right.

“Good morning heartache
you’re like an old friend
come and see me again”

These lyrics dig deep inside my soul.

The truth that these lyrics hold, makes me feel as if life will always be ok.

I’m not concerned with NOT being in love, or being in love.

When you find that True LOVE we tend to forget about our friend, heartache.

Heartache has been such a good friend to us in the past.

When and ex-lover leaves you and you have no one else to turn to. Heartache is there to pull you through the hard times.

Heartache gives you the inspiration to write that poem, to sing your favorite, empowering, song at the top of your lungs, to “smash the glass” and to let the tears fall. Heartache evokes the true you.

Do not let anyone, even a new lover, take heartache away from you.

As long as I know that I can have my moment to wallow in past or future heartache I will be fine.

Heartache for me is a way to embrace the emotions I do have.

(I have been told I do not have them).

I do.

I have learned over the years that they are my emotions.

My emotions to do what I wish.

I do not have to share them with anyone else.

Some may wear their heart on their sleeves. Not this guy. I wear my heart in my heart. Just like my tattoo says, “This Heart is Sealed.”
